Question / Issue
If I drop/add a class, how would it affect my financial aid?

Answer / Solution

Financial aid is disbursed according to your enrollment prior to the start of the semester. In order to reflect changes to your enrollment during the cancel/add period (first two weeks of the term), the Office of Student Finance will re-examine your enrollment at the end of the cancel/add period and will make changes to your aid accordingly.

If you drop courses during the semester, the financial aid you receive may be reduced and you could end up owing a bill.  Exactly how your aid will be affected depends on the type of aid you are receiving and when you drop the course.  Please consult One Stop Student Services before dropping courses to determine what effect this would have to your financial aid and tuition and fees billing.

If you add classes after the second week of the term, please contact One Stop Student Services to see if you are eligible for additional financial aid.
